Research Interests / Description As a faculty member at a large land grant university, I both teach and conduct research. My research is about dietary risk reduction for chronic disease and obesity in primarily two target groups: 1) mother-child dyads from families with limited incomes; and 2) emerging adults. I teach community nutrition to majors in dietetics, nutritional sciences and pre-med and a graduate course on nutritional assessment to grad students in behavioral nutrition.

Description YBH is primarily an after-school program that is housed in six middle schools and one elementary school so far.
